The Colyer Team visited FESPA 2023, to discover the latest advancements in the print industry. During their visit, they paid a visit to our esteemed brand partner, Fujifilm, where they were unveiling their new cutting-edge Acuity Prime Hybrid wide format printer.
The Acuity Prime Hybrid is a revolutionary large-format printing solution that excels in handling both rigid and roll media. This large-format press effortlessly accommodates a diverse range of substrates, including Dibond, foam board, acrylic, polyester and more. Its versatility extends further as it is equipped with Greenguard Gold-certified ink and roll mode, making it an ideal choice for efficient wallpaper production.
The Prime Hybrid showcases its prowess by flawlessly printing on substrates up to 2 meters wide on roll or rigid. Its remarkable capability allows for simultaneous printing on up to four pieces of rigid media, with registration pins ensuring impeccable edge-to-edge printing at a remarkable quality for saleable print at 92 square meters per hour.
Designed for convenience and versatility, the printer features front and back handling tables. This feature allows for seamless support of different types of media and makes it simple to position media within the content. Additionally, the roll-fed configuration enables the loading of two rolls, each with a width of up to 0.9 meters. This printer is specifically tailored to meet the needs of print service providers who work with a wide range of media across diverse applications.
The machine is available in four colours (CMYK) and with white, clear and primer employing the same high-quality inks as the renowned Acuity Prime series. This ensures consistent and vibrant prints that meet the expectations of even the most discerning customers.
Some noteworthy features of the Acuity Prime Hybrid include a draft mode with a resolution of 600 DPI and the ability to achieve top-quality prints of up to 1200 DPI. It also boasts the advantage of automatic cleaning, simplifying maintenance tasks. Moreover, its LED technology contributes to lower energy costs, making it an environmentally conscious choice.
